The City of Del Mar is one of the most popular beach communities in San Diego County. Great surfing, fairgrounds, horseracing, and a quaint, upscale village provide plenty of activies for everyone. Powerhouse Park with a full children's playground, is especially nice for families with young kids. Coast Highway which runs through Del Mar is one of San Diego County's best cycling routes. Start your bike ride in Del Mar and head south to Torrey Pines or north to Solana Beach, Encinitas, Leucadia, or Carlsbad.
